GENERAL CONFERENCE WEEKEND IS THE BEST!!!

We were so excited to be able to travel down to SLC to attend General Conference! Carmen and I were able to attend the Saturday afternoon session, thanks to Elder Jerry and Sister Pam Meyers for tickets! It was a memorable experience for Carmen to be in the Conference Center and see our Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson and the Apostles. The Spirit was so strong - a reverent and sacred feeling we will never forget!
The Boys - Brian, Shaun and Dallin waiting for Priesthood Session! Their pockets are stuffed full of candy to keep them occupied during the wait. Looks like Brian's mouth is full also! :)
Megan, Bart and Brexton were able to meet up with us also! (We, the girls and Brexton, shopped during the Priesthood Session!)

Such a grand edifice! Don and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple a little over 26 years ago! I love to see the Temple!

Who says? "RAINY DAYS AND MONDAYS ALWAYS GET ME DOWN" (We love Mondays in the Duffy household!)

We are privileged to receive a weekly email every Monday from Elder Bradley Duffy! He's our oldest son serving a misson in the Mexico Tijuana Mission. He loves teaching the Gospel. Absolute and Pure joy comes when we invite our fellowmen to "Come Unto Christ".Brad is back in Tijuana as Zone Leader (shown here with his zone on Preparation Day). Elder Duffy and his current companion.

Quite a view of Tijuana!Baptisms are the best!
We love you Elder Brad Duffy and we are so blessed as a family to have you serving your Heavenly Father on a two year mission. (Elder Duffy has been out a little over a year!) To sum it all up, literally, at the end of our rainy Monday we found this rainbow in our backyard!
Happy Mondays to all!

BIG, BEAUTIFUL, BLOOMING FLOWERS!!!

I love fresh cut flowers! These dahlias actually grew in our yard! A big thank you to the Zauggs who gave me some of their tubars from their garden this last spring.
Admiring these splendid creations makes my day!

STRETCHING OUT THE "LAZY" SUMMER DAYS WITH A FEW MORE HIGHLIGHTS!!! (Well, even though school has begun for my children!)

A new puppy came to our household! Her name is "Sugar"! (As in brown sugar.) Puppies are very similar to newborn babies! Enough said! She is great company for Carmen.First day of school for Carmen! 6th grade - Wow! She is growing up way too fast for her mother!
Shaun played in his first highschool football game. He will be a Junior this year. It's been a long two years with knee injuries/surgeries etc. This picture was on the front page of the Sports section in the Spokesman Review the next day after the game. CHS 'clobbered' Lakeland 57-7. Shaun has the same number (72) as his brother, Brad had! We love it! Go Shaun!
Autumn is in the air!

THE SUMMER WRAP UP!!!

A thrilling day! Katy and her son Christian were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Brian and I were privileged to be present during the missionary discussions. These are the best of times!
The grandbabies (their mothers and fathers also) came to visit! Carmen loved to sit with Annie and Brexton on the porch swing.Of course, Brexton and Annie had to experience their first 4-wheeler ride!Serious business for Annie!Brian became an Eagle Scout! Marvelous Court of Honor! (Our two son-in-laws, Nathan and Bart are also Eagle Scouts.)Carmen and I took a quick 'end of the summer' trip to Boise to see Grandpa and Grandma Hill and the local cousins! We had a blast! The Slip-N-Slide is a favorite activity on a hot, summer day!
They slid for serveral hours.
Spent a fun day at Eagle Island Park.
Carmen and Elena!
Katie, Carmen and Gabe.
The infamous rope swing! Always a fun ride.
Carmen and Zander.
Traditional "end of the day" bonfires roasting hotdogs and marshmellows.
Carmen posing with Grandpa, Aunt Melanie and cousins!
Came home to Don's broken finger from a dirt bike accident. Ouch!Well, Brian is off to Dixie College and loving life. We are getting ready for school to start with football in the "mix" for Shaun! (Barring no more injuries!) Looking forward to good times ahead but looking longingly back and wondering why summer always passes so quickly!

Oh, What do you do in the SUMMERTIME?! (When the city of Hayden is 'HOT'!!!)

YIPPEE! Brian is in the air again!
The lake is like 'glass' at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning! (We avoid the crowd at this hour.)
Don was on his game also!

Great job, Don!
The orange flag was up quite a bit, especially when Mom made her debut on the wakeboard. So different from Slalom skiing!

The look of terror!I had a couple of crazy crashes (face plant) of which the kids tried to capture in 'living color'. HaHa Let's just say I was hurting for a few days!
It was a good day for Shaun on the Wake Skate. There are no bindings on this board, so he was able to manage it without worrying about his knees twisting!

Go Shaun, Go!

And he's down!

Carmen is a 'natural'! She could do this for hours!
Carmen caught air!

Jump, Carmen, jump!
Pure bliss! Great way to cool off in the heat!
