A new puppy came to our household! Her name is "Sugar"! (As in brown sugar.) Puppies are very similar to newborn babies! Enough said! She is great company for Carmen.
First day of school for Carmen! 6th grade - Wow! She is growing up way too fast for her mother!
Shaun played in his first highschool football game. He will be a Junior this year. It's been a long two years with knee injuries/surgeries etc. This picture was on the front page of the Sports section in the Spokesman Review the next day after the game. CHS 'clobbered' Lakeland 57-7. Shaun has the same number (72) as his brother, Brad had! We love it! Go Shaun!
Autumn is in the air!

The grandbabies (their mothers and fathers also) came to visit! Carmen loved to sit with Annie and Brexton on the porch swing.
Of course, Brexton and Annie had to experience their first 4-wheeler ride!
Serious business for Annie!
Brian became an Eagle Scout! Marvelous Court of Honor! (Our two son-in-laws, Nathan and Bart are also Eagle Scouts.)
Carmen and I took a quick 'end of the summer' trip to Boise to see Grandpa and Grandma Hill and the local cousins! We had a blast! The Slip-N-Slide is a favorite activity on a hot, summer day!

Katie, Carmen and Gabe.
The infamous rope swing! Always a fun ride.
Carmen and Zander.
Carmen posing with Grandpa, Aunt Melanie and cousins!
Came home to Don's broken finger from a dirt bike accident. Ouch!
Well, Brian is off to Dixie College and loving life. We are getting ready for school to start with football in the "mix" for Shaun! (Barring no more injuries!) Looking forward to good times ahead but looking longingly back and wondering why summer always passes so quickly!
